The objective of this brief was to create and animate a demo clip for a ficticious video game. This was a group project and involved myself and two other students. To give this work some context I will give a brief description of our game. It's called 'The "IT" Trip', and the "IT" is a revolutionary new drug created by the players character. This drug enables the player to see through the humanoid forms of aliens living in New York, thereby making them ligitimate targets. The player scores points by passing obstacles and killing aliens. We chose to give the game a retro style by keeping the graphics and movement fairly basic. Designed with several levels to progress through, our clip shows the players character returning to his apertment to retrieve his stash, which is being gaurded by police who are really aliens. My role was to create props (furniture), 2 policemen with walk cycles, the score counter and the soundtrack / effects.
This is the finished animation for 'The "IT" Trip'.
This is the first Policeman and his walk cycle as he patrols the room.
The second Policeman patrols the kitchen.

A selsction of the original sketches
A sample room I created to visualize how some of the props might look in situ
